PERSONALITY: Jacob’s personality changed quite a bit from the time Bella Swan came back into his life to the present. When Bella first moved back to Forks, WA, Jacob was very friendly, playful and carefree, but being only fifteen, he was also rather shy and bashful, which was in part because of his crush on Bella. This crush only intensified the closer she grew to Edward Cullen and his feelings certainly didn’t go unnoticed by the vampire, which caused a rivalry between the two, similar to the one between their species. The stronger the relationship between Bella and Edward became, the more hostile and violent Jacob became towards Edward.

As Jacob began his transition into his wolf form, his personality changed drastically and he became sullen and temperamental, becoming easily angered, which would trigger his phasing until he was able to gain control of his transformations. Unlike the other members of his pack, Jacob was one of the only ones who disliked being what he was and wished to be normal again. Jacob also became somewhat rebellious once he began phasing, once convincing Bella to sneak out to see him despite Edward’s feelings about them spending time together. Jacob’s rebellion and anger only intensified when he thought Bella was going to die as a result of her pregnancy. He rebelled against his Alpha, Sam, and started his own pack, despite having refused the responsibilities of being an Alpha a few years earlier even though he was a direct descendent of an Alpha. Once Jacob became Alpha of his own pack he began to take his responsibilities more seriously.

It isn’t until Jacob imprints on Bella and Edward’s daughter, Renesmee, and Bella becomes a vampire that he returns to the happy and carefree teenager that he had been before, becoming a permanent fixture at the Cullen’s in order to spend time with Nessie, as he nicknamed her, much to Bella’s annoyance. His feelings towards the Cullens in general, changed after this as well and he grew closer to some of them more than others.

ABILITIES: Not only can Jacob phase into a wolf, but he can heal extremely quickly, communicate telepathically with other members of his pack, has a high body temperature, which usually stays around 110 and delayed aging.
WEAKNESSES: Jacob has very few physical weaknesses, one of the only things that can actually hurt him is if he's attacked by a vampire. Non-physical weaknesses are his feelings for Renesmee, which could lead to him going insane if something were to happen to her as a result of his imprinting on her.
